In this 7-week cooking and baking program for children, we will learn culinary skills, including safe knife handling, measuring techniques, and proper food hygiene. Please contact us at info@soapifystudio.com about any food allergies in advanced, as last minute recipe changes may not be possible.

Weekly Menu

Week 1 - Coconut Chia Pudding, homemade granola, fresh fruits + Kitchen orientation. Learn how to use measuring tools, basic knife skills and how to use the oven.

Week 2 - Macaroni and Cheese with sautéed onion and peas - Learn how to cook pasta, grate cheese and make a creamy cheese sauce.

Week 3 - Thumbprint Jam cookies - Learn about the importance of accurate measuring of ingredients with this cookie recipe, and introduction for use of kitchen scales.

Week 4 - Egg roll breakfast wraps with scrambled eggs, peppers and ham - Learn how to make scrambled eggs, saute vegetables and fill pre-made egg roll wrappers.

Week 5 - Mini Cheesecakes with homemade berry sauce - Learn the importance of ingredient temperatures in dessert production, mixing techniques and how to whip cream.

Week 6 - Fettucine alfredo with spinach and pan seared chicken breast - Learn how to safely work with raw chicken and how to season and pan-sear chicken.

Week 7 - Puff Pastry danishes with assorted fruits - Learn how to roll, cut, fill and bake pre-made puff pastry sheets to turn them into sweet cheese danishes

Program instructor Lily has a Baking and Pastry Arts Diploma, is certified in FoodSafe, completed the High Five - Principles of Healthy Child Development training and has worked in the restaurant industry for several years as a pastry assistant.
